If you’re looking to start a fitness program or are wanting to shake things bit with your current workout routine, I have just the program for you! This 8-week strength training program I created is suitable for all levels and abilities, as you can modify it to make it easier or more challenging depending on your fitness experience.
Although the program is based around resistance training, I’ve included one day of pure cardio (beginner friendly) and a plyometric session (advanced) to help build aerobic and anaerobic capacity. Although strength training is an important part of any fitness program (helps to build bone density, helps to increase strength and power for other activities, and helps to prevent injury and muscle imbalances, etc.), cardio also has it’s place. I’m a huge proponent of walking and hiking, because not only will your body benefit from the low-impact activity, but also being outside in nature is good for your mind and soul.
